In his ongoing pursuit of branding and marketing and advertising expertise, Ryan tackles a hairy subject: guerrilla advertising and marketing, aka knowledge, experiential, or engagement marketing. He reads a few chapters in some books on experiential marketing and advertising, but soon ditches these to explore the ideal-of on YouTube: flash mobs, punny pranks, and travel stunts.

Ryan then embarks on a short journey to Los Angeles, to discover the roots of guerrilla marketing—graffiti—and to meet with BeCore (after some chicken and waffles, of course) a single of the top experiential advertising agencies in the nation who specialize in constructing branded experiences for our most beloved brands (think Nike, RedBull, and MTV). They share their knowledge with Ryan, teaching him about their procedure, how they measure good results, and the largest inquiries brands must be asking ahead of they do their own experiential campaign.

Lastly, Ryan finds out what it is like to do his own experiential marketing and advertising experiment- when he puts on a gorilla suit and takes to the city with a hoverboard and a small red wagon.
